Neglected

Neglected
The girls old Wendy House is sadly neglected now. A few years ago we had a skip and were going to get rid of all the panels. Then I decied that I would wait until Christmas- to buy it a holly wreath- so I could take a picture postcard type photo- of the porch part in the snow. Needless to say it didn't happen. When we did get snow- the recycling boxes were on the porch looking ugly! Anyway- the Wendy House has now decided to take matters into it's own hands. The top part of the roof felt came off in high winds- and the 'eaves' are falling off. It really needs to be dismantled- but we will need something else to store some of the garden stuff. So for now it stands looking all folorn.

Frayed
I tried to take a photo last night- and the battery on the camera was completely flat. I put the battery into the charger- then went to use it this morning and it was still completely flat. The charger was switched off at the mains!!!!!!
This hydrangea is starting to look very frayed around the edges. I've always wanted a BLUE hydrangea- and we bought one earlier this year in Costco. Unfortunately- although we knew that our garden soil produces lilacy coloured flowers- the soil we bought for the pot is also the wrong soil and I don't have a blue hydrangea anymore!!!!!!!!

We popped out to look for a present for my dad today- he's very difficult to buy for. He's just been registered partially sighted and has problems with the feeling in his hands- so the books that used to be an easy choice aren't so welcome anymore. I tend to buy him t-shirts for his holiday- even though he says he has enough. So today we bought 2 more t shirts from BHS again!!!!!!!! I tried lots of other shops but couldn't find anything dad like!

Then on the way home Guy said we should go to Costco to pick up a precooked chicken for an easy dinner tonight. I thought he'd be in there 5-10 mins, so I stayed in the car. He was nearly an hour!!!!!! They didn't have anyone manning the chicken stall and he had to go and ask the staff three times before anyone turned up. I have a feeling he was preoccupied down the electrical aisles though- as I did see several people walking out with the afforementioned chickens!!!!!!!!

So I was indulging in a spot of people watching from inside the car. An extremely posh car screamed to a halt in the spot infront of me- and a man ran into Costco. I wasn't aware that anyone else was in the car- until some 'person' opened the door to drop her litter outside. I was sat there wishing I was the sort that could go and pick it up and re present it saying ' I think you dropped this'!!!! It's amazing what you see when people aren't aware that they are overlooked. I could see some of the exciting goodies coming along in the trollies. There is always something nice you can buy there. At the moment they have loads of nice stuff for the garden- chairs, umbrellas, gazebos, heaters etc.

  1. Kim.. we have the same thing near us..pizza and take-away boxes in a row in the carpark where the boy racers line up at night.. no action.. then they fine us for parking a long vehicle in two bays and only buying one (expensive) commercial ticket at twice the car rate.. as you can tell.. not a happy husband! xx

  5. It was lovely- it had little gingham curtains and flower boxes and a stable door! We put a HUGE red bow on it when it was built for them!

Hope your dad has a good birthday and likes his tshirts....and the chicken should have been good after waiting so long for it :)
