What is that! 95:365
I tried to take a photo of a section of a hot cross bun this morning. But by the time I'd figured out that the photos weren't clear, they'd been eaten! I was just sat eating my lunch when something caught my eye through the window and I thought 'What is that?'!!!!!!!!!! So it has to be the photo for today! We often see the heron when we go for a walk around a local nature reserve. I have never seen him striding along the roof of the houses opposite. I took these quickly with my compact camera. By the time I thought that bigger lens on the dslr would be a great idea he flew away.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Kim. he culd be friend with my Aigrette from yesterday. Gorgeous photo! It's s o nice to observe wild life. That's why I love Africa soooo much !
ReplyDeleteWe went on safari before we had the girls and I really wish we'd had the modern cameras then!!
DeleteExcellent shot
ReplyDeleteWhen we were in Tanzania we went through a spell of getting our neighbours Guinea fowl on our roof, they were very noisy as it was a tin roof. Hope your heron was a bit quieter. Lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteAlison you've reminded me of a holiday we had once in a 'hut' with a tin roof and the seagulls used to wake us every morning. The heron was just so graceful padding along the roof.
DeleteWhat a great picture, Kim. How lovely to see one so close to the house.
ReplyDeleteKim well done capturing it with your compact camera!
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic to see one, I haven't seen one for years ( I suspect my noisy boys scare them off when we are out walking lol) and to catch one on camera is brilliant. Well done you :) xx
