Fence 39:365

Our fence is not the most picturesque item- so decided to record the meerkats that live around the garden. One was a recent Christmas present.I've always loved Meerkats- before they became fashionable due to the insurance advert! Had a good look at the garden whilst I was out there- and it really needs some attention when it goes above freezing!!!!!!

Had a really disappointing evening. I'd booked a hotel for Amy and her 2 friends. I had asked her to check with their parents that it was ok- and they were ok with them having a drink that evening. I didn't know what I was talking about- they are 18 , no need to ask anyone!!! I insisted that they both checked that the parents were ok with it. I bought lots of 'pamper evening' products for them to use, was going to send a couple of dvds with her laptop and make up a breakfast hamper with croissants etc and bucks fizz. I'd just ordered some bags to make up the pamper packs and was going to tie wired ribbon round a towel, face cloth, shower scrunchie and shower gel in co-ordinated colours. It really was looking pretty!!!! Anyway- I checked last night that it was still ok- and apparently one of the dads didn't think it was a great idea and the other mum wasn't sure either. I didn't want to cause any unnecessary worry on anyone's part- so I've cancelled it. I won't get a refund because it was a prebook cheap offer. If it hadn't been a Friday I'd have gone myself!

Some of the stuff ready to be be a pamper party bag!!!!( I will just treat is as early christmas shopping now!!)

She had wanted us to move out of our home so she could stay here- but I wasn't comfortable with that. One of the girls is terrified of dogs- and our dog isn't the best around people who are terrified. She senses it and she's a vocal dog. I also didn't particularly want to spend the night somewhere else so she could have people here! My sil had said she had spare beds enough for them all and she' be happy to do it- but I booked the hotel and had thought I was organising something special!!!!!! What do I know!!!!!!!!

Also- another of Amy's friends wants her to go to a Uni day with her on Saturday- and think Amy was looking for an excuse to get out of it. To say I'm disappointed is understating it a bit!!! I had booked the log cabin in Wales to celebrate their 18th- and got that wrong too!!!!

Damaged 38:365

I couldn't believe today's prompt when I got up. We've had quite a morning already. We heard a tremendous and ominous crash from Emma's room this morning at 6am. Her Freddo jar (where she keeps her xmas sweets- already eaten!) had fallen from the shelf on her computer desk. I think she was probably shoving a dish onto the top shelf and made it fall- but she's not admitting that. She's not supposed to eat upstairs- but that is largely ignored!!!!!! Anyway- she had scratched her thumb and thought we needed to call an ambulance.

Holly had been woken up so she then wanted to go out.

Just got back into bed (or so it felt) when the doorbell rang. I made Guy get out of bed to run down incase it was the postman. It was- but he was after next door!!!!!!! So it wasn't Emma's parcel.

I'd bought a spare ice scraper to help Guy scrape the car in the morning- because he now leaves a little earlier to drop us at the top of the hill for Emma's bus guide. Couldn't find the extra one this morning!

On the way home I did my audition for Dancing on Ice with a rather fetching Bambi routine down the hill! One lady insists on clearing her car with boiling water and it produces streams of sheet ice down the hill. Normally you can just about avoid them- but the whole pavement was slippy so me not being the most graceful person, careered down the hill- luckily just about staying upright!

Anyway- the damage to Emma's lovely Freddo jar- and ANOTHER one of my new plates. We've only had them about a month and this is the 6th or 7th piece to get smashed! I will be needing to buy another set at this rate!

Packaging 37:365

I had hoped that today's photo would be Emma's long awaited parcel from Amazon. It's way overdue now- and she loses her temper everyday when it doesn't arrive again. Anyway we were out of luck- so had to think again.

I sent Dh up to Tescos on his way back from swimming, to pick up these little packages full to the brim of calories!!!!!!

It's Monday - what are you reading?

http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/
I enjoyed this one- but would have loved a bit more detail! Margaret wanted to go into teacher training- but her family needed her to work. So she became a housemaid- which is the servants servant. She found the work tough and relentless. She eventually became a cook whilst looking for a husband to escape.

Another Agatha Raisin mystery and lovely to curl up with whilst it was snowing outside!

Have a James Patterson to start next!

Rubbish 36:365

I struggled with this one today. The highlight of the day was being able to take Holly out for a walk in the snow. The rubbish- my attempt at photgraphing her running back with her ball!

Emma is very disappointed with the state of the snow tonight- it's RUBBISH! She was hoping for a snow day tomorrow!

Our rubbish collection day used to be Monday - with a fortnightly collection of recyclable rubbish. Here is the weekend's collection waiting to go out to the paper box! Last week they missed our box for some reason - so we will have FOUR weeks worth when they come again.

Liquid 35:365

I wanted a photo of this bottle of Tequila because I think the little Mexican hat lid is cute. I've never tasted Tequila- but dd2 who turned 18 this week seems to be on a mission to taste EVERYTHING now it's legal!

Interaction 34:365

This is the biggest interactive thing I do. I was never into online games until I played Pioneer Trail. Initially I just wanted to get to the same stage as some of the other players- as their homestead was prettier than mine. Then I was drawn in! Now I think I am at the stage where I need to go cold turkey and give it up!!!!

I intially wanted to take a photo of Holly with her toys- as she forces everyone to be interactive with her and them!!!!!!!! But everytime I get the camera out she decides it's time for a rest and although the toy is still beside her- she looks like she's ignoring it. So I might need to wait until someone else gets home and get her playing!
